79.Settlement of termination cases

Notwithstanding the provisions of this Act, an agreement between an employer and employee stating that no complaint in respect of a termination shall lie to a labour officer, or where a complaint made under section 63 or 69 shall not be considered, and an agreement made between the employer and employee shallβ€”

(a)be in writing;

(b)be signed by the employer and the employee; and

(c)contain the written statement of a labour officer to the effect that the terms of the agreement are fair and reasonable in the circumstances, and that the employee's entitlements under this Act and under the contract of service have been paid.
