Section 59: How Written Employment Terms Become Evidence in Uganda

59.Written particulars to act as evidence

Where there is any dispute between an employer and employee concerning the terms and conditions of employmentβ€”

(a)the written particulars referred to in section 58, together with any notice of change, shall be admissible evidence of the existence of the terms and conditions about which there is a dispute; and

(b)there shall be a rebuttable presumption that the terms and conditions of employment are accurately stated in the written particulars and in any notified changes.
