81.Assistant registrar of district land tribunal
(1)A district land tribunal shall have an assistant registrar who shall be a person qualified to be an advocate of the courts of judicature.
(2)The assistant registrar shall be in charge of the registry of a district land tribunal and in particular shall carry out the following functionsโ
(a)receive and register applications, notices of decisions and all documents or things relating to applications;
(b)issue and serve notices and summons of a district land tribunal;
(c)issue interim orders in the absence of a chairperson;
(d)keep all documents, books, things or records of the proceedings of a district land tribunal;
(e)taxation of costs; and
(f)perform such other functions as a district land tribunal may direct.
(3)In the exercise of his or her functions under this section, the assistant registrar shall comply with the advice and guidance of the registrar of district land tribunals under section 80.
