76.Tenure of office of members of district land tribunals
(1)Members of district land tribunals shall hold office for a period of five years and may be eligible for re-appointment.
(2)A member of a district land tribunal may be removed from office by the Chief Justice only forβ
(a)inability to perform the functions of his or her office arising from infirmity of body or mind;
(b)misbehaviour or misconduct;
(c)incompetence;
(d)absence from at least five consecutive meetings of the tribunal without lawful excuse;
(e)having been convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude; or
(f)having been declared bankrupt.
