59.Tenure of office of members of board
(1)The members of a board shall hold office for a period of five years and may be eligible for re-appointment for a further one term.
(2)A member of a board may be removed from office by the district council on the recommendation of the district executive committee only forβ
(a)inability to perform the functions of his or her office arising from infirmity of body or mind;
(b)misbehaviour or misconduct;
(c)incompetence; or
(d)absenting himself or herself from meetings of the board for six consecutive times without reasonable cause.
