Section 54: Powers of the Uganda Land Commission

54.Powers of Commission

For the purpose of performing its functions under the Constitution and this Act, the Commission mayβ€”

(a)acquire by purchase or exchange or otherwise hold land rights, easements or interests in land;

(b)erect, alter, enlarge, improve or demolish any building or other erection on any land held by it;

(c)sell, lease or otherwise deal with the land held by it;

(d)cause surveys, plans, maps, drawings and estimates to be made by or through its officers or agents; and

(e)do such other things as may be necessary for or incidental to the exercise of those powers and the performance of those functions.
