Section 48: Who Can Be on the Land Commission in Uganda?

48.Membership of Commission

(1)The Commission shall consist of a Chairperson and not less than four other members appointed by the President with the approval of Parliament.

(2)A person shall not qualify for appointment as a member of the Commission unless the personβ€”

(a)is of or above the age of twenty-one years;

(b)is of sound mind;

(c)is of high moral character and proven integrity;

(d)has not been convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude; or

(e)has not been declared bankrupt.
