26.Power to reject sureties

(1)A magistrate may refuse to accept any surety offered under any of the preceding sections of this Part of this Act on the ground that, for reasons to be recorded by the magistrate, the surety is an unfit person.

(2)For the purposes of subsection (1), a person with a disability shall not on the basis of disability, be taken to be an unfit person.
