151.Rogues and vagabonds

(1)Every—

(a)person convicted of an offence under section 150 after having been previously convicted as an idle and disorderly person;

(b)person going about as a gatherer or collector of alms, or endeavouring to procure charitable contributions of any nature or kind, under any false or fraudulent pretence,

shall be deemed to be a rogue and vagabond, and commits a misdemeanour and is liable for the first offence to imprisonment for a term of six months, and for every subsequent offence to imprisonment for one year.

(2)Subsection (1)(b) shall not apply to collections made in any recognised building or place of religious worship.
