Parliament is automatically dissolved at the end of its five-year term. The President may also dissolve Parliament earlier in special circumstances, such as when the government loses a vote of confidence or when the President decides it is necessary. During dissolution, all Members of Parliament lose their seats and new elections must be held within a set time. Your right to elect a new Parliament is protected by this process, ensuring that the government remains accountable to the people.

Parliament shall stand dissolved upon the expiration of its term as prescribed by <span class="underline-gradient ref" data-tippy-content data-ref="77">Article 77</span> of this Constitution.
