Other political organisations can exist even when a different political system is in power, but only under rules made by Parliament. These rules may limit certain rights, like the freedom to form political groups, to protect the current system. However, the government cannot impose restrictions that go beyond what is truly necessary for that system to operate. This means Parliament must keep any regulations reasonable and not excessive.

Subject to the provisions of this Constitution, but notwithstanding the provisions of Articles <span class="underline-gradient ref" data-tippy-content data-ref="29:1:e">29(1)(e)</span> and <span class="underline-gradient ref" data-tippy-content data-ref="43">43</span> of this Constitution, during the period when any of the political systems provided for in this Constitution has been adopted, organisations subscribing to other political systems may exist subject to such regulations as Parliament shall by law prescribe.

Regulations prescribed under this Article shall not exceed what is necessary for enabling the political system adopted to operate.

Political parties may be regulated based on the adopted political system but only as necessary for its operation.
