This article has been removed from the Constitution and is no longer in effect. The first President does not have any special power to change existing laws. Any law modifications must now follow the normal legislative process. You do not need to worry about this provision—it no longer applies.

<del>The first President elected under this Constitution may, within twelve months after assuming office as President, by statutory instrument, make such provision as may appear necessary for repealing, modifying, adding to or adapting any law for bringing it into conformity with this Constitution or otherwise for giving effect to this Constitution.</del>

Article 275 (repealed) granted the first President under the new Constitution the power to amend or repeal existing laws within a year to ensure compliance with the Constitution.
