That law must follow the strict steps laid out in this chapter of the Constitution. No other type of law or action can be used to amend the Constitution. This means the basic rules for changing the Constitution are very clear and controlled.

Subject to the provisions of this Constitution, Parliament may amend by way of addition, variation or repeal, any provision of this Constitution in accordance with the procedure laid down in this Chapter.
