The Supreme Court is the highest court in Uganda. It is made up of the Chief Justice and at least six other judges, called justices. Parliament can pass a law to set the exact number of justices, but there must always be at least six. This court hears final appeals on important legal matters. The government cannot change the court's basic structure without following the Constitution.
