A Minister must leave office if the President removes them, if they resign, if they become disqualified from being a Member of Parliament, or if they die. This means the President has the power to end a Minister's term, and Ministers can step down on their own. Becoming ineligible to serve in Parliament also forces a Minister to vacate the position. These rules ensure that only qualified people hold ministerial office.
